Finally, ICAI Exam forms are out! ICAI soon after the CA Final and CA Foundation Results has Declared the datesheet for the November 2019 CA exams for which the exam forms are out. ICAI Exam Form for November 2019 examination is available from 16th August 2019 to 7th September 2019 without late fee (and till 10th September 2019 with late fee). Here, we will tell you the ICAI exam form procedure, that is, the steps to fill the exam form.
I am damn sure the announcement for once would have made your heart miss a beat, made your blood run cold and would have bated your breath for a while. * Khatre ki Ghanti* It would have given you trigger and you all might have tightened your pyjamas and would have jumped to the preparation. Hey, but before that, you all need to fill up your exam form. Here we have all the information about Examination form and the procedure to fill up the examination form.
Important Dates for Online filling up of examination forms
All candidates desirous of applying for CA Foundation, CA Intermediate and CA Final Nov 2019 exams are required to submit their examination application forms online only, at http://icaiexam.icai.org and also pay the applicable examination fee online, during the specified period.

Online Application Procedure CA Final/ Inter/ Foundation Exam Form
Step-1: Register your Name or Create Login Account
First of all, you have to create your login account by entering your Registration number, date of birth, valid Email ID and mobile number.
However, if you have already created an account for any previous term exam on official website icaiexam.icai.org then, you should log in to your account directly for applying for Nov 2019 examination. In other words, you need not re-create the account for each term.
- Select the examination: Foundation or Intermediate/ IPCC/ ATE or Final and provide the following credentials
- Registration No.: Select Prefix of your SRN (Student Registration Number) with ICAI. Thereafter, enter the remaining 7 digits of your Reg. No.
- Date of Birth: In DD/MM/YYYY format; In Case your Full Name is not displayed on entering the Reg. No. and Date of Birth, you can still create the login account as a PROVISIONAL CANDIDATE by providing correct particulars.
However, you must submit the copy of registration letter and other relevant documents with your application form in case your login is created as Provisional Candidate.
- Email ID: Be careful while entering your E-Mail ID as because all communication including login details will be sent by the Institute to this primary email address; and
- Mobile No: Your 10 digit Indian mobile number.
After successful registration, you will see a window showing a message that your profile has been created along with your registration Number and Password. Please note that password for login purpose.
While completing your profile, you are required to provide your other personal details like Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Security Question, and Address. You will have to verify your email id and mobile no before you can start applying for exams!
If your photo and signature are available with ICAI, the same will be displayed in your dashboard. Your updated uploaded profile photo and signature will be used while applying for ICAI Exams 2019. You also have the option to change the photo while applying for an exam. In such instances, you will have to attach an attested photo and sign the application form while sending it to ICAI. When the application form is received, the same will be verified, scanned and uploaded into the website for further processing in ICAI.
If your photo and signature are not available with ICAI, the same will be indicated in the dashboard. While applying for your next exam, you will have to attach an attested photo and sign the application form while sending it to ICAI. If you are already registered or created your profile then log in at icaiexam.icai.org by using your login-id and password already sent to your registered email ID as well as the mobile phone.
Step 2: Fill up CA Exam Online Application form
Now, login to your created account and fill up the online CA Foundation/ CA Intermediate/ CA IPCC/ CA Final examination application form carefully. Thereafter, click on save changes button and in the next opened window (i.e. Confirmation Page) check and confirm the particulars displayed viz. Group applied, Region of examination centre, exam centre, medium and registration date, etc. Following details shall be shown in the preview window:
- Registration Number
- Name of the Candidate
- Date of Birth
- Father’s Name
- Medium Opted
- Differently Abled
- Type of Disability
- Percentage of disability
- Region of Examination Centre
- Name of Examination Centre
- Zone Covers
- Centre Code
- Group Applied
- Old Article Registration NumberInitial Date of Registration to Final (As given in Registration letter issued by Board of Studies, ICAI)
- Date of Revalidation of Registration to Final (if original registration is more than 5 years old)
- Personal Identification No.: (PIN 4 Digit)
Note: For Nov 2019, CA Institute has made compulsory to attach or upload a scanned image of Declaration / Certificate of Service. Note that the scanned image size of Declaration / Certificate of Service should be 100 KB to 200 KB. You may download the format of Declaration / Certificate of Service for CA Foundation/ Intermediate/ Final examinations.
Step 3: Proceed to payment
Once you are done with the steps you are now left with payment. In the currently opened window, you may either click on make payment or cancel the payment and log out from there. If you proceed for payment, you have to select your preferred payment method from VISA, MasterCard, and Maestro.
Photographs and Signatures:
If your photo and sign are in the database of ICAI, you need not required to take the print out of exam form. In other words, CA Foundation/ IPCC/ Final candidates whose photographs and signatures are displayed on the screen, on the portal, when they log in, are not required to take a print out (PDF) of the exam form and submit it.
Here is the screenshot which shows the Picture of Student and his/her signature thereon and hence, he/she need not require to take print (PDF file) and send exam form to ICAI. Therefore, you are not required to follow any further steps below.
Step-4: Take a print out of PDF form:
Candidates whose photographs and signatures are not in exam database, i.e. those whose photographs and signatures are not displayed on the screen, are required to fill the examination application form, take a print out of the form and send it to ICAI. However, such candidates are also required to scan and upload their Certificate of Service, on the portal.
Note: In case the amount has been deducted from your bank account and has not got reflected in ICAI records, please pay again and successfully get the PDF. Don’t worry if multiple payment is received by the ICAI as the extra payment will be refunded by ICAI on its own at the end of the online form’s process.
Step-5 Affix your Photo, Sign it and send to ICAI Office:
Candidates whose photographs and signatures are not in examination database, i.e. those whose photographs and signatures are not displayed on the screen, are REQUIRED to take a print out of the exam form, affix their photographs and signatures at the designated place, get the form attested by a Chartered Accountant or Gazetted Officer or Head of an Educational Institution and send the same to Examination Department at the following address, by Speed Post or Registered Post only, on or before the last date for submission of exam forms with late fees. You can opt for any of the modes to submit your exam form as per your convenience.
Submission by Hand: You may submit the application form at any of the offices on working days between 10 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. to the reception counters of respective ICAI regional office.
Submission by Post: You may send the printout of the form by SpeedPost/Registered Post (not courier) without folding and Superscribing the envelope as “Exam Application Form for Final/Intermediate / Foundation – November 2019” before the cut-off dates. The address for posting is as under:

There is no need to send your printed application form to ICAI. However, if your PHOTO and SIGN is not appearing in your printed form, you must have to paste your recent colour photograph of size 3.5 x 4.5 cms in the appropriate place, sign the form using only Black Ink Pen and get the form attested by Principal/Member of the Institute/Gazetted officer as the case may be.
Candidates must submit the declaration form as well.
Problems in due course of registration
It was reported by many students that the exam level is not appearing correctly on their dashboard under their registration number. For an instant, the students should first report the issues by sending an email at [email protected] quoting their registration number and passing particulars.
Alternatively, if not resolved in time, you may without waiting, create a Provisional login for the relevant exam and apply.
In case you are registering as a New User and you are getting the message “Registration No. and Date of Birth you have entered doesn’t match with our records” please do not worry about that create a Provisional login if it’s not working.
